Darwin's Children by Greg Bear

4.0

To my mind not quite as satisfying a read as the first volume, it does however present an excellent rendition of what the business and politics of science is like, especially in the public realm, as well as the policy and authoritarian responses to any threat to the status quo. If you've read Darwin's Radio, you will likely have already read this too. But if not, give it a whirl. A hard science fiction spin on things that we need to be concerned about in the near future? Maybe.
