Despite the murder aspect these 4 stories make for a rather cozy holiday read. Unfortunately, I liked each story a little less than the previous one (maybe because I had some trouble keeping all the names apart), so the first one ended up being my favorite. The others had some good twists as well but especially the last one laid it on a bit thick with the meta references and everything was concluded too quickly. Nevertheless, I’d like to read more from P.D. James.
