Everybody Has a Podcast (Except You): A How-To Guide from the First Family of Podcasting by Griffin McElroy, Justin McElroy, Travis McElroy

3.0

The audience for this book is, I think, VERY limited.

If you are starting or thinking of starting a podcast AND you love the McElroys? This book is going to be great for you.
If you're new to podcasting and neutral on/dislike/only a little bit like the McElroys? You're probably better off skimming some podcasting guides on the internet.
I am a person who loves the McElroys and have been podcasting for over a decade, off-and-on. For me? This book was very middling. I laughed a few times. I learned a couple of things. But that was about it.
The book is well written and there are definitely some insights in here that you wouldn't get anywhere else. I found the chapter on equipment especially accessible, yet comprehensive. But there are better McElroy jokes. There are better podcasting guides. And overall, the book is just *alright*

Though, I'll reiterate, in case it's been lost in the various couching above, if you love the McElroys and are NEW to podcasting, this book would be an excellent place to start.
