This anthology was pretty good. The authors provided a fresh and new take on Shakespeare’s works. There were some weaker parts, particularly in the some of the tragedies, but each writers unique style showed through. There is also a healthy dose of queer rep, especially trans rep, which as a nonbinary reader I found pretty cool. This book is definitely worth the read.

I do also have a spoilery question for “His Invention” by Brittany Cavallaro inspired by Sonnet 147
Why was her mouth bloody? I’m so confused by that. Was it for poetic reasons? Was she sick with something? The story was good but I’m just very confused
