Probably Ruby by Lisa Bird-Wilson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
I'm not sure why I wasn't vibing with this one. It's the kind of book I usually really like: a multi-voiced, multi-generational box of 3D jigsaw pieces that slowly put themselves together to create a picture of a person or situation. Maybe the mood never gelled, or the prose style? I was already considering bailing when I hit a graphically described car crash, which I don't generally do well with, and tapped out.
