I have wanted to try this author for a while now and decided a Christmas story this time of year would be perfect.  The story was concise and I enjoyed the characters, especially Maude, who only appears for a few pages, and Mariah Ellison, whose perspective we follow throughout and who attempts to solve a crime.  She is grumpy and absolutely delightful.  A quick read with a lot of great writing.
