This book may be a bit problematic for casual readers in 2023.  Some of the themes, storylines, and character interactions may be deemed archaic or even misogynistic.  (Example: Most of the characters are nude, all of the female characters are subservient and attracted to the main character, etc...). I read it again, having first read it back in the late 70's, early 80's, and it had a different impact.  The overarching story was good.
