The Fantasy Literature of England by Colin Manlove

3.0

An interesting book to look back to, though scholars who came after have taken this structure further. This text has the weakness of many books on fantasy in that it focuses on schematizing the genre and galloping through huge numbers of examples without substantial analysis of individual works. But at the very least it serves as an annotated bibliography of (one scholar's) greatest hits of English fantastic literature.
