Talking Heads by Alan Bennett

4.0

Basically an essential of British literature. Though I've classified this as 'humour', these monologues are also very sobering and seem to show ordinary life starkly as it is, which is both comforting and confronting.
I would really recommend watching these monologues performed (most of the original films can be found on YouTube) - it's usually better to experience things the way they were intended to be heard/seen.
