Dead Dudes, Volume 1 by Christopher Sebela

3.0

'Dead Dudes' by Christopher Sebela with art by Ben Sears is a graphic novel about ghost hunters who get in over their heads.

Ghost Bros. is a popular show on cable, or rather was. With ratings declining, the three hosts, Trev, Kent, and Brian, put it all on the line and visit a haunted prison. Things do not go well and they find themselves now ghosts among the incarcerated, the evil nurse and the evil warden. When a rival film crew shows up to cash in on a tribute show, the Ghostbros think it might be a way to get back at them.

The goofy art style goes well with the completely campy story. I think the story gets drawn out maybe 1 issue too long, but for those looking for some stupid humor, you might enjoy this one. I liked the parodies of these sort of shows and the drive for ratings at all costs.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Oni Press and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
