Read Me Like a Book by Liz Kessler

4.0

I'd first like to point out that our the main character of Read Me Like A Book has a great name ;)

I loved what Liz Kessler did with this novel. At its core is a girl coming to terms with her sexuality, but beyond that it highlights some of the struggles we face in our later teenage years as we near adulthood and realise quite how scary it is being responsible for yourself. But it also offers some reassurance that, despite how scary things can seem, people can be awesome and things can work out for the better. Read Me Like A Book explores friendships, families and bullying too.

This is a great addition to YA bookshelves, made all the better by being an LGBT+ novel at that. Recommended.
