Black Skin, White Masks
by Frantz Fanon
I wanted to give it 3 starts but taking into account the time when it was written and for it's audience it is worth 4 stars. This is a psychoanalytical (think Freud) dissection of the French black man's condition with respect to themselves and to white people (both men and women). It's an interesting read and provides a well explained analysis of what it is like to exist as a French black man in the time period with some parts having parallels today. If you can't read it all, read the last 3 chapters.
