Did not finish book.

Dnf. This book is really upsetting and frustrating because poil de carotte is mistreated but thinks it's his fault. Reading this at the same time I'm reading The body keeps the score, and I see elements of traumatic memory: fragments, dissociation... And anxious/ambivalent attachment, trying to please his tormentors and failing. Anyway, yeah, really upsetting.  Maybe another time. Will hang on to my copy to discuss with my reading buddy for the body keeps the score. Added les malheurs de Sophie to meet this challenge task instead
