2.0

As with all anthologies, this was a mixed bag. The stories about Savage Dragon finding himself in unexpcted situations and having to punch his way out were repetitive. One by Jon Adams used a dead baby as a punch line, and it was truly pointlessly tasteless. The strongest were those that did not focus on the eponymous character, such as one about Savage Dragon's stepdaughter Angel and son Malcolm. It was subtle, nuanced and gorgeously drawn -- which, unfortunately, was kind of an anomaly in this anthology.
