Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 3: Believe in Yourself by Koyoharu Gotouge

5.0

This volume introduced us to Zenitsu and a person wearing a boar's head on his head, both of whom are demon slayers like Tanjiro. Zenitsu is hilarious, and I love how he plays off of Tanjiro's strong determination and fighting spirit with his over-the-top cowardice. The fact that he can only fight in his sleep, but is unbelievably strong in this state is hilarious and awesome. I hope we get to see more of this character in later volumes, I'd love to get his backstory and see him in action more. The volume opens up with finishing the fight between the two demons from the last volume, and the fight was amazing. I loved seeing Nezuko take on Kemari-it was like an intense Feudal-era soccer match. Tanjiro went all-out in his fight and watching him analyze his opponent and formulate a plan was entertaining. The artwork is as strong as ever, with the demons (especially the one with the tsuzumi drums in him) are so detailed yet simple, they are equal parts awe-inspiring and terrifying. I absolutely adore this series and cannot wait to read volume four.

Side note-I read this in paperback, not kindle as the description says. I didn't realize this was for the kindle addition until after I finished typing, so there's that.
