I know this third book is all about the big final fight and Eve feeling all torn up inside but similar to the second book I just struggled so much with Lemon's side of things; maybe it's because she's so young but I just didn't find her an enjoyable or compelling character and while I like Eve it was clear from the get go that she isn't the focus beyond book 1. I did enjoy the explanations of the biomass hive and found all that quite interesting though, the worldbuilding continues to be very cool. Ultimately I'm glad I finished the series but the first book was definitely the best one.
