ok so i would say 3.25 stars i did enjoy the book a bit long but i feel like it flowed really well. *SPOILERS* the author did an AMAZING job with portraying carter as an f boy because it's one thing to say he is but to read it through his thoughts and witnessing his growth was chef's kiss. i liked the separation after the first hook up because this felt very real to pause and be like wtf happened.

things i didn't like:
- i feel like there was no complexity to olivia's character like what was she dealing with besides not trusting carter? there was SO MUCH going on in carter's life and i felt like i knew nothing compared to what we knew about carter
- ^ also for the trusting thing to be the main part of the story, she gave up too easily (like same i get it girl but plz i needed more from her)
- the relationship felt like lust, like maybe when you know, you know but 11 months really....
- the middle section of the book felt like we were riding the high of their relationship for so long that i knew the third act break up was coming
- the proposal at emmett/cara's wedding like NO sorry
