The Sun and the Wayward Wind by Paloma Hernando

I am a sucker for a good folktale and Americana is in short supply these days so this collection was right up my alley. With a fantastic collection of artists, the stories they present are brought to life in ways that are sweet, scary and somehow soothing. From a story about a water siren to the strange, living subway car with legs, to the story about the Jersey Devil to stories about things far less supernatural but no less haunting, it all comes together to form a collection that will leave you wanting more and getting you to look just a little closer at the strange goings on in your hometown.
