If I had finished this it definitely would’ve been a 1 star read, the comics by themselves are not awful and I get why they were revolutionary for their time but I just don’t like runs that are purely just self contained stories, they were also super poorly paced and had so much dialogue although that’s just a 90s thing. The speedy issues were okay but not worth reading the rest of the collection just for them, also the treatment that Black Canary had was so weird it seems like the writers thought they were being feminist icons when they weren’t and her treatment at points felt misogynistic
