I got this as an audio book for halloween, because it had R.L. Stine and Chris Grabenstien's name attached to it. I liked many of the stories in this anthology, though there were a few that had tired themes. This in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing, but when the author decides that they are going to use one of these tropes (this character is actually a robot! Oh my gosh! It's a bodysnatcher! etc.), they must do it in a unique way. It gets really old (especially when you read a few different collections which have the same basic story told by different authors), and kind of defeats the purpose of the art form in the first place. Yes. I understand that these stories are Y.A. based. I still think that we don't need to dumb down our themes, or how we write them for a particular audience.

This being said, many of the stories were fun and unique and it was totally worth it to get the book.
