Ohhhh this is so lovely. At times surreal.
This really toes the line beautifully between magical realism vs unreliable narrator dealing with grief.
I love the insights into nonbinary gender feels, historical queerness, immigrant experience, and more. I did think it a little too tidy to have a secondary character appear who also is looking for the same artist Nadir's family is so focused on, but I'm fine with that.
