One Wild Ride by A.L. Jackson, Rebecca Shea

4.0

ONE WILD RIDE is book 2 in the Hollywood Chronicles. It's characters are interconnected with book one but it still can be read as a standalone so no worries about jumping right into this one!

Elle Ward is the daughter of Hollywood's biggest director but she's worked hard to separate herself from the glam of that world. So when she runs into (literally) super hot model and up and coming actor, Kas, she desperately tries to keep him out of her life. But the charming Kas finds himself enthralled with the lovely Elle and letting him go won't be that easy.

So I wouldn't say this is insta-love per say...more like "the quick plunge". It's fun and sassy, sweet but sexy. The story unfolds really quickly without feeling too rushed. There's a bit of drama revolving around Elle's mistrust of actors but I didn't feel like it was too over the top. Just enough to keep me invested in Kas and Elle's romance.

I absolutely adored this couple! My goodness, Kas could make a rock sit up and take notice! He was what I'd call, DREAMY: amusing, sweet and fun-loving. Elle had a bit more somber demeanor but she was completely wary and untrusting of her feelings because of her past so I understood her caution. Kas' charm brought out the best in Elle and their attraction to each other leapt off the pages.

Overall, this book was a nice little read if you're looking for something to swoon over. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
