Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet by Lucy Score

I would have rated this lower, but I really did love everyone (except for Nick and Riley). During the first book Nick was an endearing idiot, but this one he was just too freaking much. He went from protective to just overboard and ridiculous. Riley also seemed to have lost her backbone. I love all the other characters though and each one is so clear and different. They were really brought to life.

Another issue I had was an issue I also had with the first book. There are no indicators that the chapters are changing perspectives when they do. You just start and it is suddenly the other character. There are also frequent moments where you "know" what the other person is thinking even though it isn't their "perspective" chapter. Then there was the first chapter which was the same as the prologue in the first book. These both could have just not existed. They are intended to "grab your attention" and make you want to read more, but instead they just confuse you because there's too many characters not yet introduced.

I still enjoyed it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
