Battlefield Love by Skyler Andra, Mila Young
3.0
I read this through Kindle Unlimited. It had a neat, pretty original concept, and I thought that the storyline was logical and entertaining. The main character had an unconventional career as a phone sex operator, and she had a past that wasn't super developed. Her powers are what I would have expected, besides the thing. The other characters were okay. This was a book one, so it stands to say that relationships and backgrounds won't be super developed at this point. The sex scenes were hot.
Despite the unique concept and the steaminess, I don't think I will be reading book two. I didn't love the main character's change in personality towards the end, as she was a bit unnerving, which I suppose I should have expected, because gods and all. But anyway, that, plus the rest of the book, didn't really do it for me. I think it was an interesting read, but this was not really for me. Also, the editing left something to be desired. 3 stars.
