Silently Seduced: When Parents Make Their Children Partners - Understanding Covert Incest by Kenneth M. Adams

informative reflective fast-paced

4.0

Very informative. Like others have said, it lacks any discussion on queer/non-heteronormative situations -- ex. assumes that a son cannot be made to be a surrogate spouse for a father, and that a daughter being a surrogate spouse for a mother means that it will inherently lack the sexual energy a father/daughter and mother/son covert incest pair would have. It's good for general information, but be ready to ignore the explicit gender binaries and just see what resonates with you and your childhood.
