I found myself really in love with the book at the start, I felt it hit a bit of a dry spell in the middle but really pulled me back in in the end. I felt Karina’s character was my favourite to start, but I felt her development got stunted half way through and she kind of just kept falling back on the same few traits. The reverse was true of Malik, of the 2 MCs I thought he was going to be my least favourite, but his development really had me rooting for him. The plot was super fun and definitely had some twists I did not see coming. If I had to give it a sort of weird fusion summary: hunger games meets a reverse harem. I think the writing itself could have been stronger however with this being a debut novel, overall it was very fun to read and I’m excited to see how the author improves over the course of the sequel !
