Tess had a plan, then she exchanged it for a dream, then she fell with a bump. She jumps at the chance to spend Christmas in NYC with her best friend Amy and enter a competition that could save her career. I didn't read the blurb, so I had no idea this was a christmassy read. And I guess if I read it while I was cuddled up, drinking tea and enjoying the christmassy amosphere, I would have given more stars.
I still like the style and story. It's just that Tess became less and less likeable the more time I spent with her. She's just so unreasonable lots of times. And Kelk started this book the same way she did the last. With a scene that makes you want to know, just to jump back in time. And a great part of this was hilarious but some also seemed just so ridiculous that it seems, the author just wanted to make the journey harder.
I did like how everything turned out to be not as it seemed.
In the end it's cute. I still like those people and Nick is amazing! But I'm pretty underwhelmed.
