A Girl's Best Friend by Lindsey Kelk

3.0

Tess had a plan, then she exchanged it for a dream, then she fell with a bump. She jumps at the chance to spend Christmas in NYC with her best friend Amy and enter a competition that could save her career. Only Charlie just started talking to her again and she's not so sure about turning him down anymore. And in New York she could run into Nick, the man who broke her heart...

I didn't read the blurb, so I had no idea this was a christmassy read. And I guess if I read it while I was cuddled up, drinking tea and enjoying the christmassy amosphere, I would have given more stars.

I still like the style and story. It's just that Tess became less and less likeable the more time I spent with her. She's just so unreasonable lots of times. And Kelk started this book the same way she did the last. With a scene that makes you want to know, just to jump back in time. And a great part of this was hilarious but some also seemed just so ridiculous that it seems, the author just wanted to make the journey harder.

I did like how everything turned out to be not as it seemed.
In the end it's cute. I still like those people and Nick is amazing! But I'm pretty underwhelmed.
