Outstanding writer. Mr Palmer is one of the very talented writers who was a very talented journalist as well. Writing of WWI "The Great War" he immerses the reader in a tour of the limited view of the war offered a visiting journalist, detailing the experience at an individual level and successfully painting a detailed picture of life at the front in 1914/1915. Highly recommended.
