Before Snowfall, After Rain by Ariel Francisco

What strikes me about these poems is how photographic they are. Often, Francisco’s poems are descriptions of a single moment or image or scene, yet rendered with such grace that, like the best photographs, they transcend a mere recording and become something more, something evocative and rare. I suppose what I want to say, then, is that these poems are incredibly well-seen.
