Beauty Sleep by Cameron Dokey

4.0

I loved the book from the beginning, but the ending was a little odd.

Plot: I loved that this kinda stayed true to the typical Sleeping Beauty story, but it had new ideas and twists in it. I liked how the whole thing flowed from beginning to end, but like I said, the ending was a bit odd, and not how I expected it.

Characters: I love Aurore. She took matters into her own hands, and she wasn't a typical princess. She got to know her people, and worked along side them. She wasn't afraid of work. I wish Oswald had been the book more, so we could learn more about him and get to know him better. I loved Aurore's father. I've really been liking the father/daughter relationships in Dokey's books. Ironheart was a bit annoying, so I'm glad he wasn't in the majority of the book.

Overall it was very charming and fun, and it had great characters.
