Collection of shirt stories of various quality. Some excellent some less so. Stars are for the ones I liked. Stephen King, Dennis Etchison, Edward Bryant, Karl Edward Wagner, T. E. D. Klein, Ramsey Campbell, Charles L. Grant and Gahan Wilson.

Good way of finding new (or rather old, since this book is more than 40 years old) authors to try out.

I had read ‘The Mist’ by Stephen King before and almost skipped it. But glad I did not. I was reminded how much I like early Stephen King. Some of the early books are sooo good. Still remember finding ‘Pet Semetary’ at my local library. Hardcover edition. First Stephen King book I read and probably why I got into horror and still like the genre very much.
I found Dark Forces as used book - and also reminded me if how much better books used to be - paper quality, printing. 40 year old hardcover and still looks great.
So much nicer to read than some of the crappy printing/paper some books are sold in today.
