Major Impossible: A Grand Canyon Tale by Nathan Hale
3.0
I was familiar with Powell's trip down the Colorado River and his exploration of the Grand Canyon after reading Wallace Stegner's BEYOND THE HUNDRETH MERIDIAN. I didn't learn about this historical event until I was an adult so I am delighted to see this story told in such an engaging way for younger readers. What an adventure! I know my boys like Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales but this is the first I've read. I'm assuming the "Provost," "Hangman," and "Spy," who bring comic relief and background, are in all the books? I think their addition adds humor for young readers.
