To this day Knightfall saga has been one of my favourites, so a reread of the 2012 collector edition was welcome and it didnt dissappoint. In fact i enjoyed many things i missed in my first read . Most notably the parallels to Oracle and Bruce's scenario.

What works is the story , something thats told in a slow and steady pace and is well thoughtout , something comic book authors dont seem to do these days , plus it introduces Bane in bat verse , who's not just brain nor brawn , not filled with greed or crazed like a maniac , he is one and all.

What doesnt work is Jun Luc as the next Batman, but i guess they needed him to ensure an eventual return of Bruce as Bats
