Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith

3.0

Started and finished 'Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between' by Jennifer E. Smith today, and it was really cute.

Definitely one of the most fast-paced and cute books I've ever read, a perfect book for the mood I'm in right now. After reading two books that were only okay, one of them even a tiny bit bad, I really needed something I could telt on. And this was definitely the book. It wasn't one of those book where you really have to think about what's happening, and the plot is easy to follow, just plain enjoyable.

I really loved Clare and Aiden as a couple, and what I really liked about this book was how it didn't evolve around finding love but about how to live with it and maybe even finishing it instead. It was fun to read about their past and to connect past and present. It gave the characters so much, and I really felt like I knew them, when I finished the book.
And that's actually the case with all of the characters in the book, and I really, really liked Scotty! Felt so bad for him being left behind, but he was so cool about it.

So yeah, enjoyed the book very much, but one thing annoyed the hell out of me - the third person narrator!!! Seriously, hated it! And it's written in present tense which only makes it even more annoying. It's my first book by Jennifer E. Smith and I don't know If it's the case with all her books, but def. wasn't a fan of the writing..

But well, the writing didn't fully spoil the story, so I guess I can live with it ;-) Still recommending If you need a Quick, cute read!
