Wildly disappointing. The premise was interesting, but very poorly executed. It seemed like the author had a way she wanted the plot to go and forced it along without making the choices make any sense for the characters.
The attempt at political intrigue was promising, but despite being described as calculating and cunning, neither of the main characters actually seemed to have any skill at or really any evident interest in political manipulations.
Overall I found it immature and superficial, with very poorly developed characters.
