I LOVED Adalyn Grace's previous YA duology, so I was really excited for this one. Overall, I enjoyed the writing and the mystery. But. I found it super weird that Death had known her since she was a baby and been following her since then. Given that, I was hoping he'd just be a creepy mentor. Not the love interest.
Also, I was very disappointed that Signa didn't tell anyone the truth about Percy at the end. It felt cruel that everyone was going to keep hoping he'd come backāthat they'd potentially spend the rest of their lives looking for him.

Graphic: Death of parent and Death
Moderate: Vomit and Murder
Minor: Fire/Fire injury and Gore
