It just didn't work for me. It felt like it was both written and illustrated by people new to graphic novels - which isn't true, but it still had some amateur mistakes. The dialogue was often oddly stilted. It tried too hard to be a modern character-based book when it was too stuck in the odd melancholy format of a fairytale to succeed at that. It was fine I guess.
Graphic: Animal death, Death, Gore, Sexual content, Violence, Blood, Death of parent, and Murder
