Good book about a 10 year old kid living in the depression and surviving in the foster care system. Bud carries around a suitcase full of his late mothers things (flyers for a band, pictures, wocks) all the time to stay close to her. He has a lot of bad experiences with the Home. One day bud decides he is going to find his father. He takes a journey to the next city over. He gets a ride from Lefty Lewis (love him) and finally meets the band from the flyer. He has a great time with them and they are very welcoming. Later they find out the person on the flyers is actually his grandfather. They take him in and raise him.
Good book. Very sweet! Funny too!
