It Washed Up by Ramón de Ocampo, Joe R. Lansdale

4.0

Another great story in this anthology. A re imagining of the pied piper of hamelin with a lot of lovecraftian elements thrown in. Lansdale manages to marry a bonkers plot, folklore, jazz and the concept of a 'dead city' to humorous and sometimes bizarre and disquieting effect. The mood and atmosphere are top notch and the writing flows like butter. Well worth a read though it does have some bizarre elements.
