Two Gentlemen on the Beach by Michael Köhlmeier

4.0

A really interesting read into the lives of two great minds, Winston Churchill and Charlie Chaplin. Their lives became connected through their experience of depression or "the black dog" and their individuality yet dependence on one another are shown with subtle beauty. The narrative is taken from authentic historical sources but also imagined in parts, and the story was readable and insightful. It is the story of a deep and very real friendship
