Journey to the Moon by Sophie Lewis, Cyrano de Bergerac, Andrew Brown

3.0

Fun, Outrageous, Blasphemous and witty. Sometimes the C17th science and mythology got a little heavy but it was never for long, moving on to some other energetic and imaginative reimagining of something. I loved the different methods of space travel, the hymn to cabbages, the moan about not choosing who to be born to - the constant oddness and surprise - the towers which raised and lowered and the ones which moved by sails and bellows. I had enormous fun with this and would love to find the ‘sun’ companion piece.
