Horror is my most read genera with thriller close in toe. I respect it so because of its original passion to be the mirror for society.

This book has a two fold lens with a multitude of bullet points for each. This book discusses the unethical elements of medicine with the focus of human test subjects. The second is economical disparities and how they are grossly abused. I loved the execution and the well applied knowledge for both. It’s not gentile. It’s a gut punch. Think Natural Beauty meets Get Out while the second half of the book feels it’s all taking place during a sick fever dream. There’s a wicked edging of truth that made me cringe during passages of tests and body horror results. Maybe I appreciated this more than others because of my background and/or my interests in certain inequities, but all the same I suggest giving this a read.
