Context: I'm not from USA, neither am I familiar with the country's politics so my review is biased because this is a book surrounding USA politics

This book was so tough to finish because it bored me BECAUSE I didn't understand the way the politics works. Going into this book from My Boyfriend Candidate, I was so excited. I loved MBC to bits (I devoured that in 2-3 days) so I was looking forward to reading more from this author. But this book is heavy on the political scene so whenever those parts came out, it became a snooze fest for me.
The romance isn't that great either. The female lead can't decide if she wants to get back with the guy. The guy can't decide either. It was really frustrating to read because the female lead took SO LONG to realise her flaws and she's just an overall sourpus and a gloomy character. Her growth was also too sudden and short. I didn't like her at all.
