Aly Martinez is my go – to author for when I need to have my emotions wrung out and need to be absolutely devastated yet happy at the same time. But I have to admit, M. Mabie is a new – to – me author; but the fact that she has collaborated with Ms. Martinez to bring to their readers what looks to be a hilarious office romance – I just knew I was going to sign up for the review opportunity if given the chance.

Maggie and Shane are both on the cusp of a life change – for Maggie, its moving to a new city, living life the, honouring her mother whereas Shane has just been fired from a company he has been helping run with his sister and brother – in – law, for “his own good”.

And they both meet at the EXACT night they both decide to grasp their life and try and meet new people; in their new phase of their lives. They have an amazing time together until they both reach their office after their weekend– Maggie at her new office; as a replacement to Shane and it’s on like Donkey Kong between them.

I adored this book – and it wasn’t just because of the wonderful, sizzling chemistry as well as the hilarious banters exchanged between Shane and Maggie – but it also had that quintessential quality of what I consider to be Aly’s talent – and the fact that it was written by two amazing authors and flows through seamlessly – this was a read that had my panting and wishing for more collaborations by this wonderful author duo!
