Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism by Sarah Wynn-Williams

Good lord ... this is ... just ... absolutely horrendous. And already seven years out of date?! The *global atrocities* that have and are being enabled and pursued for ad dollars and power — I have rage nausea every time I think about it. And now AI is unregulatedly in the mix.
This could easily be a 5-star rating just for the last third of the book that provides the clearest examples of how morally bankrupt and villainous these bleepers are. I took half a star off simply because the author's positioning as naive idealist trapped in the system (for seven years) started to strain credulity. Otherwise... 5 stars. Especially on audio where the author's New Zealand accent smoothes the way.
