This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen.

I heard, before I ever requested it, that the illustrations were insane, and quite frankly, that's the reason I wanted to read it. My nephew and I have talked a little bit about mythology, mostly just the basic Greek guys. And I want him to learn all the interesting mythological creatures, and figured, "Oh, well, this will be perfect, because pretty pictures."

He and I spent an EXTREMELY long time looking at each image in this book, and finding all the different features. Sadly, I was far too incompetent to pronounce most of them, but since I plan to get a physical copy of this, we have plenty of time to learn.

Besides the illustrations, I adore that the creatures are divided by region. You can learn about mythological beings from the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa. There's no small amount of things to learn and did I mention gorgeous creatures to see?

Love this. So hard.
