This is part of the Rapid Reads branding. However, while there is an adult main character, there is no on-page sexual content to keep it out of a high school (or possibly 8th grade) classroom/library. There are some innuendos and implications, though. Also, this is the 3rd book with the main character but no prior knowledge necessary.
Set in Turks and Caicos islands (which I had never heard of but am pretty intrigued about after reading the book), detective Ray Robertson is on vacation with his wife trying to keep their marriage together. When a dead body washes up on the beach, Ray gets involved despite his wife's protests. Turns out that there is human trafficking from Haiti going on.
