Cruz has been exonerated for a crime he confessed to but didn't commit after 7 years in jail. Gabriella is back in town to help her granny recover from knee surgery. This had more angst than was necessary I think, but it also had one of the hottest over the clothes smut scenes I've read in a while.
Since this is book 5 in the series I'm not gonna say anything else to specific.
The series overall had at least 3 of the books have a heroine that's bigger than a size 6 which was awesome.
