I read this because the author indicated this was written before fleshing out her new novel, The Everlasting. This was an absolute wild ride. The Saint of War relives her life over and over again. She is blessed (doomed) to repeat her life over and over again in the service of a Prince whom she loves.

Even though it is short, the Six Deaths of the Saint poses the question of how far we go for the ones we love and who (questionably) love us. It reminds me of that quote that ends in "what an honor, what an injustice". I will definitely be thinking about this for days.
