I really enjoyed hearing about Trinidad, Whitney, Queenie and Afua. The characters were well drawn. I enjoyed the shameless depiction of sexuality. I appreciated the lack of instalove. This wasn’t as romantically focused as I had thought. It focused much more on general intimacy and self-discovery. I love all the joy and sweetness in this novel, as well as the deep sadness. Hearing about astrology and Queenie’s spiritualism was also fascinating.
